VR Interaction Development

This project was a result of me playing around with different interaction methods that players could use in VR. From levers to wheels the main point of this project was to create an environment where players don't need to think to interact with items around them.

The main challenge was getting the steering wheel rotation fluid. Especially when grabbing with multiple hands, and fighting with Unity's default XR interactions. Creating the cold atmosphere through ambient queues was another experiement I played around with in this demo and overall I genuinely had a lot of fun creating this vertical slice tech demo.

Stellar Savage taught me a lot about honing basic mechanics and creating expected reactions from user input. This project marks one of the first times I fully implemented my own VFX / SFX to my games which, I noticed straight away improved the VR immersion.
