About Me

I'm James, a dedicated and passionate games programmer with diverse abilties in C# and C++, and over five years of hands-on experience with Unity. My focus is on pushing boundaries of game mechanics and creating innovative experiences. I've been captivated by game development since a young age, and I have always strived to turn my passion into a career.

I thrive on solving complex programming challenges and take great pride watching others enjoy the games I create. Whether tackling challenges independently or working alongside a team, I excel in both environments. This versatility is evident in my work on Labworks and in several Game Jams, where I have taken on leadership roles for the team when required. I'm eager to collaborate with talented teams across various areas of game development and I'm excited about contributing to innovative projects and continuing to grow my skills while working with a studio that values creativity and excellence.

Virtual Reality in particular has always captivated me due to it's immense potential and the unique experiences it offers. I see it as an emerging medium with untapped possibilites, poised for growth and innovation. My interest in VR began when I first experimented with the Oculus Development Kit 2 and explored it's tech demos. The experience sparked my passion, and I've since been following the evolution of VR technology, working to create distinctive, immersive experiences in the medium.

While I recognise that VR dev presents a multitude of unique challenges the satisfaction and originality it offers makes the process exceptionally rewarding.
